I know how frustrating it can be to spend hundreds of dollars on a game and then sit there horrified and read the message "unable to load games" on the TV screen. It makes sense that these companies do this to protect themselves from piracy, but it obviously makes it difficult for the honest guys like us who simply want a backup. Aside from the copyright barriers, you also need to ensure that the software application you use does not use compression methods when burning Xbox games or copying PS3 games, as this will have a direct impact on game quality. Compression is a big NO NO!


Now, before you get up and keep banging your head against the wall in frustration, I have some good news. I was eventually able to find a decent application that was able to get the job done properly. I even suggested it to my friends and have now become the "hero" of my little gaming community. I found a wonderful application called Easy Backup Wizard, and as the name suggests, it was really an easy process. It was as simple to use as any standard DVD burning package. Easy Backup Wizard was able to burn my Xbox games without any compression or loss of game quality. The backup is as good as the original. The best part of this amazing find of mine is that now that I'm borrowing games, I do not have to borrow the original. Even when I play, I can keep my originals locked away and only use the backups. That way, when I trade the original games on one of the game changers, I should get a better deal because they would still be in original condition.
